Situated in Bishops Hull, Taunton, this charming period residence is over 300 years old and is set in its own grounds, offering somewhere to relax and enjoy.
Meryan House Hotel is set in delightful grounds, only 1.6 km (one mile) from the centre of Taunton. The owners have opened up 3 of the original inglenook fireplaces and a complete working well, over 12 metres (40 feet) deep, which was uncovered in the kitchen.
Please note that there are 2 very rare and friendly Dandie Dinmont Terrier dogs at the hotel.

Please note the restaurant is used by business people Monday to Thursday, who prefer to eat in, and we have found that our weekend guests tend to go into Taunton rather than eat at the hotel. Therefore, please check with the hotel if the restaurant is open, as we may have other functions booked in advance at weekends. We can advise on where to eat if the dining room is booked. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
Directions
From Taunton, take the a38 to Wellington. After the crematorium on the left, take the first right where you will find Meryan House after approximately 600 yards.
